Porsche Trophy West USA Racing Series – 2019
The 2019 Porsche Trophy West USA Racing Series, featuring Porsche 991.2 / 991.1 / 997.2 GT3 Cup and Cayman Club Sport Trophy/MR GT4 Cup cars is a racing series dedicated to providing a safe racing environment for all participants where on race weekends drivers compete on challenging venues while racing …On Track with Competence. The Series is run in The United States of America as a stand alone event with other sanctioned amateur/professional motorsport events in 2019 (refer to 2019 Schedule here).

Eligible Cars
The spirit of the Series is to keep the cars equal and minimize the number of permissible changes. Any change not specifically authorized is PROHIBITED. Violations are subject to penalties or exclusion. “STOCK” means that the parts are unmodified and as originally supplied from Porsche Motorsport North America.

The eligible model year cars are as listed below:
// Porsche 991.2 GT3 Cup Cars run as the Diamond Class (Model Years 2017-2018)
// Porsche 991.1 GT3 Cup Cars run as the Platinum Class (Model Years 2014-2016)
// Porsche 997.2 GT3 Cup Cars run as the Gold Class (Model Years 2010-2013)
// Porsche Cayman/MR GT4 Cup Cars run as the Silver Class (Model Year 2016-2017)
// Porsche Cayman Trophy GT4 Cup Cars run as the Bronze Class (Model Year 2016-2017)


Entrant/Participant/Driver Requirements
Entrant/Participant/Driver are solely responsible for assuring their car is technically safe and meets compliance to all safety issues by our sanctioning body for participation in a competitive weekend driving/racing event. Competent Motorsport LLC is not responsible for the technical safety of any car participating in the Pirelli Trophy West USA Racing Series.

Eligibility
The Pirelli Trophy West USA Racing Series is open to semi- professional, amateur, and Club racing drivers only. Competent Motorsport LLC reserves the right, in its sole discretion to reject any driver deemed to be a “professional driver”.

A driver must meet the following criteria, unless exception is made by Competent Motorsport LLC:
// Minimum age of 16 years old
// Proof of current physical examination (within 3 months of Series commencement)
// Current racing driver’s license in good standing sanctioned by PCA, POC, SCCA, NASA, or equivalent sanctioning body accepted by Competent Motorsport LLC.
// Competent Motorsport Annual Competition License ($250 per season)
// Competent Motorsport will determine eligibility of drivers at its sole discretion
Safety Equipment
All Porsche Trophy West USA Racing Series drivers are required to wear a Hans System at all sanctioned events and during all sessions on the track. Driver safety equipment must meet our code.

13/13 Policy
During the Porsche Trophy West USA Racing Series the 13/13 policy and penalty will be used as a “deterrent”, making it a penalty for an “on-track” contact and not penalizing the driver for an “off-track” single contact incident. With Porsche Trophy West USA Racing Series personnel at the black flag station, we will have the necessary conversation/action to stop any inappropriate action “on track”. For any “off-track” incidents that occur, a notation will be entered into the driver’s Series logbook accordingly. Continuing to engage in “off-track” incidents will result in the driver not being able to compete in the Series until reinstated by the Series Race Steward.

Below are the technical specifications for the Porsche Trophy West USA Racing Series, featuring Porsche 991.2 / 991.1 / 997.2 GT3 Cup and Cayman Club Sport Trophy/MR GT4 Cup car specifications used by Competent Motorsport. These specifications are published in order for competitors to prepare their car for the Series. Competent Motorsport does not expect to make substantial changes to these specifications, but reserves the right to do so.

“STOCK” means that the parts are unmodified, original position and as originally supplied from Porsche AG or Porsche Motorsports North America. Questions regarding parts, competitors should contact Porsche Motorsport North America. Competitors should monitor Competent Motorsport website (www.competentms.com) for further bulletins as released.
